Last night’s Quarter Final in Monterrey was a great advert for the Copa MX but was a night to forget for Tigres. Leading 2-0 at half time Tigres looked to be heading through but a roaring second half display and an injury time equaliser from Chilean, Humberto Suazo took the game to penalties. A demoralised Tigres missed two of their spotkicks and so Monterrey soared into the Semis. Earlier, Pumas woes continued as they went down 2-1 to Atlas. Jahir Barraza’s double was enough to set up a Semi Final clash with Alebrijes de Oaxaca.
ATLAS 2 – 1 PUMAS
MONTERREY 2 – 2 TIGRES (4-2 ON PENS)
