Nigeria’s young Golden Eagles heap further misery on Mexican football

An embarrassing week for Mexican football where the senior team limped into the World Cup Playoffs and the FMF sacked another manager has finished with the Under 17 side being thumped by Nigeria in their opening game at the Under 17 World Cup in Dubai. Two years ago Mexico were crowned champions but their defence got off to the worst start imaginable. Woeful defending allowed Nigeria to go into a two goal lead both scored by Kelechi Iheanacho and although Mexico pulled one back through Jaimes before the break it did not take long for Nigeria to pull away. Iheanacho smashed in his third and this was quickly followed by goals from Chidiebere Nwakali, Success Isaac and a fourth for Iheanacho. As impressive as Nigeria were, Mexico were atrocious and they must now regroup before the game with Iraq on Tuesday. WATCH THE GOALS….
