Raul Jimenez fires America into the Semis

Club America scraped through into the Semi Finals yesterday with a 1-1 draw in the Azteca against Tigres. The draw was enough to give Las Aguilas the win on the away goals rule but they will need to improve if they are to lift the trophy. Raul Jiminez headed America in front and despite Tigres then having Hugo Ayala sent off, they levelled the match through Alan Pulido. Despite fighting until the end, Herrera’s boys go on to face Toluca. Later, Santos defeated Queretaro 3-1 to complete a 6-3 aggregate win. Once again, Darwin Quintero was the key, with another brace and his equally dangerous strike partner, Oribe Peralta scored the first. WATCH THE GOALS….
