CONCACAF Champions League holders, Monterrey were eliminated by hosts, Raja Casablanca yesterday and the Moroccan champions will now go on to face Atletico Miniero in the Semi Final.

An evenly contested game ended going to extra-time with the scores locked at 1-1 and 5 minutes into the extended period Ivorian midfielder, Kouko Guehi headed the winning goal.

Casablanca had taken the lead after 24 minutes when Monterrey keeper, Jonathan Orozco failed to deal with a cross from the right and allowed Chemseddine Chtibi to tap in from 5 yards.

Not long after half time Monterrey levelled when captain, Jose Maria Basanta rose above his marker to head in Humberto Suazo’s free kick.

Both sides had opportunities to win it but early in extra time it was Guehi who powerfully headed in from a corner and sent the Moroccan champs through to the Semi Final.
