Sunday: Puebla produce the only goal to see off Querétaro (VIDEO)

It is very difficult to create any excitement over Sunday’s three matches as they produced only one goal between them. American, Damarcus Beasley’s second half goal was enough to give Puebla a 1-0 win over stricken, Querétaro. With the current financial status of Los Gallos Blancos they could yet take the save Atlante, Atlas and Veracruz and drop out of Liga MX. After the “excitement” in Puebla, Pumas produced a goalless draw when they hosted Pachuca and both sides find themselves safely in the playoff positions at this early stage. Finally, Chivas and Tigres followed the example of set earlier and also produced a dull 0-0 draw. Neither side really produced anything of note and so it is fair to say that Sunday was not the best example of Mexican football.

Puebla  1 -0  Querétaro

Pumas  0 – 0  Pachuca

Chivas  0 – 0  Tigres
