Having just been called up by Mexico for the World Cup it would appear that Tigres’ youngster, Alan Pulido has wasted no time in finding a new club. According to Olympiakos President, Vaggelis Marinakis a deal has been agreed to bring the 23-year old striker to Greece when his deal expires in June.
This detail could potentially disrupt any move as Tigres have claimed that Pulido’s deal does not actually expire in June. Perhaps until some financial deal is accepted by the club this transfer will rumble on although Mexico will be hoping this is not too much of a distraction over the coming weeks.
Pulido is an excellent penalty box striker and although his goal record is not overly impressive it should be noted that many appearances were when first breaking into the side as a teenager. His record at all levels for Mexico is excellent, since breaking into the national side, Pulido has scored 4 goals in his 3 appearances, including a hattrick against South Korea.
Olympiakos will be keen to complete any deal before the World Cup because if Pulido were to impress in Brazil I imagine plenty more clubs in Europe will be waiting.
