With Manchester United unveiling Louis Van Gaal as boss this week and the reported €180 million budget to overhaul the misfiring squad that he will be provided, Javier Hernandez’s days at Old Trafford appear numbered.
Van Gaal is expected to name Robin van Persie as his captain and would like to retain the services of Wayne Rooney and so with attacking reinforcements expected, Chicharito could find himself even further down the pecking order than he was last season.
Bayern Munich’s Croatian striker, Mario Manzdukic is one of those linked with a move to Manchester along with a host of other top European names and so The Daily Mail is reporting that Hernandez, along with Nani and Ashley Young will be shown the exit door.
A transfer away for Hernandez has been expected for some time and provided the move was a wise one it would certainly help the diminutive penalty box striker. His lack of playing time has seen him lose his place in the Mexico first team although he did make the World Cup Squad.
Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have been linked with a move for Hernandez which would certainly keep him playing at the very top level. If Chicharito is to remain in England there are rumours of interest from Aston Villa.
For a knockdown fee, Hernandez might just be a bargain this summer for someone and it will certainly be beneficial to Mexico and the player.
