Chicharito set for Man Utd exit

Manchester United v Swansea City - FA Cup Third Round

With Manchester United unveiling Louis Van Gaal as boss this week and the reported €180 million budget to overhaul the misfiring squad that he will be provided, Javier Hernandez’s days at Old Trafford appear numbered.

Van Gaal is expected to name Robin van Persie as his captain and would like to retain the services of Wayne Rooney and so with attacking reinforcements expected, Chicharito could find himself even further down the pecking order than he was last season.

Bayern Munich’s Croatian striker, Mario Manzdukic is one of those linked with a move to Manchester along with a host of other top European names and so The Daily Mail is reporting that Hernandez, along with Nani and Ashley Young will be shown the exit door.

A transfer away for Hernandez has been expected for some time and provided the move was a wise one it would certainly help the diminutive penalty box striker. His lack of playing time has seen him lose his place in the Mexico first team although he did make the World Cup Squad.

Inter Milan and Atletico Madrid have been linked with a move for Hernandez which would certainly keep him playing at the very top level. If Chicharito is to remain in England there are rumours of interest from Aston Villa.

For a knockdown fee, Hernandez might just be a bargain this summer for someone and it will certainly be beneficial to Mexico and the player.

  1. Chicha is so cheap, united will only get 10-12 mil for him,I hope score loads of goal at the world cup. So united can sell you for 20-25 mil. For a poacher, he have a 1st touch of a baby elephant. So I think villa and inter is a likely destination for him.but I won’t be surprise if he ends up playing in a hollow league like mls, turkey or russia.

  2. No chicharito should not be sold he is a great scorer. Its not his fault he always wanted to played but stupid moyes prefer rooney and goes with van persie and welbeck

  3. Welbeck hasn’t done so much than chicharito have done. Have seen welbeck score goal in last minutes to save united. Just see season 2011-2012

    • Yawn. United want to keep him as the new ole.a supersub, but he’s the one that wanted to leave, he is so limited, that’s why fergie buy rvp, he can’t play on the wing or as a 2nd striker like welbeck and rooney does. And no manager in the world will start him ahead of rvp. If he is that good, why is he so cheap.but I agree with you. I really think united should force him to stay until the end of his contract, he can help us sell shirt and merchandise in the american region.
