Barcelona appear to have made Real Sociedad’s, Chilean goalkeeper, Claudio Bravo, their number one target as backup for their other recent acquisition, Marc-André ter Stegen but in order to prize the keeper away from his current club, Jonathan Dos Santos may be made a make-weight in the deal.
Sociedad reportedly value Bravo at €12 million but with the addition of Dos Santos this figure would be considerably lower.
Serious injury has hindered Dos Santos’ progress at Barcelona and also kept him out of Mexico’s World Cup squad and a move to Sociedad might benefit his career. Carlos Vela is a good example of someone who has thrived since leaving a larger European club for Sociedad. If Vela remains at the club it would be good to see two mexicans linking up at another Spanish club.
