Miguel Layún is the latest Mexican to be linked with a move to Europe with Liverpool and Inter Milan the latest side to show an interest in the Club América left-back. Layún has been outstanding for Las Águilas and despite not performing as well as many had thought he would for México in Brazil, a transfer to Europe appears likely.
The 26-year-old wing back would be particularly desirable given his ability to play on both flanks. For México and América, Layún is usually on the left but with his strong right foot, he is able to cut inside and provide a goal threat.
Liverpool seem to be in the market for a left back but reports are suggesting that Layún has already agreed terms and the Premier League side now need only to agree a fee with América.
However, reports in Italy are also stating that Inter Milan are keen on the player. Layún had a brief spell in Serie A already with Atalanta in 2010 and could be set to test himself again in Italy.
A transfer to Fiorentina was reportedly close just a couple of weeks ago and so although the transfer seems inevitable the destination is much less clear.
