For the second home game, Pumas wasted a two-goal lead as a goalkeeping error from Alejandro Palacios allowed Chiapas to claim a 2-2 draw in the final minute. Ismael Sosa and Eduardo Herrera looked to have given the home side all three points but a late Isaac Díaz goal and an even later, Julio Nava free kick which was fumbled into the net by Palacios allowed Los Jaguares to leave with a share of the spoils. Later in the Estadio Omnilife, Chivas once again failed to find the net as they limped to a goalless draw with Puebla. Angel Reyna’s penalty miss drew the ire of the considerably lower than capacity attendance and with Los Rojiblancos in the midst of a relegation fight there is now considerable pressure on manager, Carlos Bustos. If he survives the next few days, this week will be critical as Chivas travel to Toluca in midweek ahead of the clásico Tapatio next weekend.
Pumas 2 – 2 Chiapas
Chivas 0 – 0 Puebla
