A reshuffled México side just about managed to pick up a win against a determined Panamá thanks to Erick ‘Cubo’ Torres’ last minute goal in Querétaro. With both managers before the match stressing that this was a little more than just a friendly, tempers flared on a couple of occasions but Miguel Herrera will be more concerned by his sides inability to break down, defensive and resolute opposition. The match was heading for a goalless draw but Panamá goalkeeper, Óscar McFarlane’s fumble allowed Torres to pounce on the rebound for his first international goal. The 21-year-old will hope that this proves to be the first of many and now a decision must be made on his club future.
