México goalkeeper, Guillermo Ochoa could be set for a transfer just months after completing his free move to Málaga in the aftermath of the hugely successful World Cup performance. Liverpool are now set to renew their interest after Simon Mignolet has failed to instill confidence in Brendan Rodgers this season.
The 29-year-old caught the eye after a string of superb displays for El Tri and became one the hottest free agents around after his contract with Ajaccio expired. Málaga won the race to sign Memo on a free and may now be willing to quickly cash in on the player who has failed to win the number one spot.
A fee of around £4million is being touted by press in France and England and while this would be a quick profit for the Spanish side, it would also be a decent price for a 29-year-old goalkeeper with plenty of experience and plenty of years ahead of him.
If Liverpool have indeed lost faith in Mignolet then Ochoa could be a very good replacement without needing to break the bank.
