Chivas snatch crucial point and Pumas impress in win over Toluca (VIDEO)

Chivas’ point away to relegation rivals, Leones Negros sees them stay right in the mire but just how crucial could Omar Bravo’s late goal be come the end of the season. The hosts had largely outworked their larger city rivals and led after yet another defensive lapse allowed Fidel Martínez to tap into an unguarded net but Omar Bravo’s diving header with five minutes remaining grabbed a crucial point for Chepo and his boys.

Earlier on Sunday, Pumas produced an impressive performance to see off Toluca. Gerardo Alcoba’s looping header gave Pumas an early lead and their dominant start to the match was further rewarded when Ismael Sosa curled in a sensational second from long range. Carlos Ezquivel pulled one back after the break with a precise volley but Sosa bagged his second of the game to reestablish the lead. Edgar Benítez thumped in a late second but Pumas held on for a deserved victory.

Pumas  3 – 2  Toluca

Leones Negros  1 – 1  Chivas
